How to Raise Your Frequency: A Real Talk Guide from my own experience.
Hi all! This is Salma, back with a new blog to share my experiences and experiments in raising my frequency. I used to be a super angry person, constantly judging people around me by their looks. Every time someone tried to understand me or how I think, I would get triggered. I’d think about how people were losers or pathetic for focusing on small things in life instead of trying to understand themselves.
All of that has changed now. My perception has shifted—towards myself and others. Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time someone truly triggered me. It was long ago, and it was over something small. I was in a group of people, and someone called me "weird" in front of everyone. On the outside, I shrugged it off like I didn’t care, but inside, I felt sad. I wondered why people saw me as weird.
That moment is very simple comparing to other more triggering and hard situation i faced 5 to 7 years ago. With constant learning, healing, experimenting and practicing meditation, I started catching my negative feelings and healing them, which led to a calmer, more relaxed life. The funny thing is, the people around me didn’t change at all. It was all me. And that’s the first thing I want you to learn from this blog: Your feelings are your meter, and your surroundings are not the reason for your suffering.
Now, let’s dive into the ways I used to help raise my frequency.
What Are Frequencies and Vibrations?
Let’s get straight to it, What is Frequency? The idea of human frequency or vibration comes from a mix of science, spirituality, and energy theories. It’s often used to describe the energy we radiate based on our emotions, thoughts, and physical state.
Think of it like this: Everything in the universe is made of energy, and that energy vibrates at different frequencies. Humans, too, have their own energy fields. When we feel happy, loving, or peaceful, our vibration is high. When we’re stressed, angry, or feeling low, our vibration is low. When you’re in a low-frequency state, you’re basically in a decreased state of consciousness. Things feel heavy, negative, and stuck. On the flip side, when you’re vibing high, you’re allowing more life force energy into your body and your perception. It’s like the world suddenly looks brighter and more alive.
So, here’s the deal: vibrations are either positive or negative. You can figure out where you’re at just by checking in with yourself and asking, How do I feel right now?
Your emotions are like a mirror of your thoughts. If you feel bad, it’s because of the thoughts you’re having. And good news—you can change those thoughts. Pick the ones that make you feel good and clean out the ones dragging you down.
Be Present
When you’re feeling low, don’t ignore it. Catch yourself in that moment and figure out what thought is responsible for how you feel. Meditation is your best friend here, you can find a full Meditation guide in this blog, Meditation : A Journey to the Self. Meditation helps you hit pause, observe your thoughts, and stop judging yourself for what you think or feel. You become the watcher, stepping out of the ego mind.
When you stop resisting and just feel what’s going on, you’ll know how to handle it. Maybe it’s a past trauma. Maybe it’s stress or self-doubt. Whatever it is, allow yourself to release it—whether that’s through crying, yelling, forgiving, or letting it go. Do what feels natural to you.
So, How Do You Raise Your Frequency?
There are so many ways, and you get to choose what works for you. Here’s a list to get you started:
1. Make Conscious Positive Changes
Look at your lifestyle, beliefs, fears, and judgments. Be honest with yourself. What’s holding you back? Use your intuition—you already know deep down what needs to change. Even small adjustments can make a big difference, sit down with yourself, and think, The hard situations we face every day are not accidental, they happen to elevate you in one way or another. The very first perception you need to change is how you view these challenges. Ask yourself: How do I feel? If the answer is bad, then ask, Why do I feel that way?
Focus on the specific feeling you have. For example, maybe you feel like people don’t appreciate you. Then think: When was the first time I ever felt this way? You’ll realize it’s all tied to past traumas. Nothing you fear or hate is truly real—it’s just in your head, shaped by past bad experiences.
Before that very first time you felt unloved, you were a neutral child who didn’t care whether people appreciated or loved you because you naturally loved yourself. Then, after a bad situation happened, you started questioning whether people loved you or not. From there, you began to feel unloved and started seeking that love from outside.
Originally, you loved yourself internally, without needing it from anyone else. You were connected to Source, and your vibration was high—full of love, appreciation, and gratitude. See? That’s the mindset you need to return to. This is the real change you need to make.
2. Music is Magic
Music is pure frequency. It’s literally waves that can make you feel good or bad. Did you know sound engineers use specific frequencies to create music that gets approved for mass consumption? Ask yourself: Is this music uplifting me or bringing me down?
And here’s something cool: experiments with water show how different frequencies affect its structure. Good frequencies create beautiful patterns, while bad ones? Not so much. Considering your body is 70% water, imagine what good music can do to you on a cellular level.
3. Surround Yourself with High-Vibe People and Places
Spend time with spiritual teachers, nature, animals, or friends who uplift you. Energy is contagious, and you’ll naturally tune into the frequency of whatever you’re around.
4. Follow What Inspires You
Whether it’s a book, a movie, or listening to a teacher, anything that lights a spark in you will raise your vibe. Inspiration is like fuel for your frequency.
5. Move Your Body
Exercise isn’t just for your physical health. It gets oxygen to your brain and releases endorphins—aka, feel-good chemicals. But here’s the key: find something you actually enjoy. Don’t force yourself into workouts that feel like a chore.
6. Use Aromatherapy or Color Therapy
Like music, scents and colors have their own frequencies. Essential oils, candles, or even looking at vibrant colors can shift your energy in subtle but powerful ways.
7. Keep a Gratitude Journal
Writing down things you’re grateful for helps you focus on what’s going right. The act of writing strengthens your connection to those positive thoughts, and gratitude itself is one of the highest vibrations you can tap into.
8. Spend Time in Water
Water is a close match to Source energy. Whether it’s a shower, bath, or a swim in the sea, water doesn’t just clean your body—it cleanses your energy too.
9. Do Acts of Kindness
Every time you radiate love outward—whether it’s helping someone, complimenting them, or just being kind—you raise your vibration. Love is one of the highest frequencies there is.
10. Ask Questions
When you question things—your fears, beliefs, or anything that’s holding you back—you open the door to higher awareness. The more you know yourself, the easier it is to shift into a high-frequency state.
11. Laugh and Smile
Anything that makes you laugh or feel genuine joy raises your vibration instantly. Think of laughter as a sign you’re tapping into a higher state of being.
Dealing with Negative Thoughts
Here’s the truth: negative thoughts will come up. It’s part of being human. But instead of resisting them, accept them. Ask yourself, Why am I feeling this way? Heal it. Release it.
Don’t cling to old identities like, This is just who I am. I’m an angry person. That’s just ego talking. If you want to raise your vibration, you’ve got to let go of the anger or whatever is holding you back. Deal with the trauma behind it and free yourself.
Final Thoughts
Raising your frequency is a choice. It’s about taking responsibility for how you feel and making space for positive energy to flow in. The better you feel, the higher your vibration. It’s really that simple.
So, when you’re feeling low, don’t beat yourself up. Just clean out the negative energy and make room for the good stuff. Let go of the ego, and trust that you’re capable of creating a high-vibe life.
I’ll be sharing more soon, including my own experiences with trauma and how I healed myself and still healing myelf. Remember, every time you raise your vibration, you’re not just helping yourself—you’re uplifting the collective consciousness, you are cleaning a part of this whole world, so Thank you for that !
Cheers, and see you in a new blog .
